Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact you?

You can contact me using the contact form below, or DM me on Instagram or Tiktok!

When will your commissions reopen?

I plan on reopening my commissions around July 2026. Join the mailing list to be notified when they reopen!

What species will you make?

I will make canine, feline, avian, equine, dragon, opossum, rodent, and more!

I do not make protogen, kigurumi, or therian masks.

If you do not see your species here, don't hesitate to reach out to stitchnwhisker@gmail.com

How much does a fursuit cost?

Every commission I take is 100% unique, so no two suits cost the same. Please fill out my quote form here to get a free estimate.

**Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Quotes are valid for 6 months from date quote was received.**

What styles do you use?

I primarily use toony style, however I am also open to kemono style. I do not commission protogen, therian or kigurumi masks.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I offer payment plans on orders over $200. I require a 20% deposit upfront for every commission to begin work or reserve your waitlist spot. The deposit is non-refundable once materials are ordered. The full payment is due before commission can be shipped.

Failure to complete payment within 30 days of commission completion will result in the product becoming Stitch and Whisker's property and can be resold as a premade without alteration.

Will I receive updates about my commission?

Yes! I pride myself on my communication. You will receive multiple updates for each and every stage of the process.

Why does it take so long to make a fursuit?

Every fursuit I make is 100% one-of-a-kind and I take great pride in attention to detail. I am also only one person with a 9-5 job, so I can only work on commissions during my freetime.

Material providers have varying lead times and may contribute to the wait.

When will I receive my commission?

I estimate a partial commission will take up to 4 months from deposit date to shipment.

Parts-only orders may take up to 2 months depending on material lead times.

I am under 18, can I commission you?

Yes and no. If you are under 18 years old, I require a parent or guardian to purchase for you. The parent or guardian will be the intermediary between Stitch and Whisker and yourself.

If you are under 14 years old, I do not recommend purchasing a fursuit yet. Your body is still growing and you may grow out of your fursuit quickly. However, you may purchase parts!

Do you take rush orders?

No, I do not take rush orders or give a set deadline. This ensures that I have adequate time to complete your fursuit to high standards, and that no substandard fursuit leaves my shop.

Do you make murrsuits?

I am open to consenting adults using their commissions however they choose, however I will not make suits specifically for NSFW/murrsuiting activities.

Cleaning Your Fursuit

Routine Care

  • Brush suit often with a slicker brush.

  • You should store your suit somewhere where it will not get damaged, such as a plastic tote or wall hanger.

  • Do not hesitate to contact me with any cleaning or maintenance related questions!

Spot Cleaning

  • Some parts like the head, feetpaws, and parts containing electronics cannot be machine washed. When they inevitably get dirty, you may use a damp cloth and liquid dish soap like Dawn. Take care not to soak the fur.

  • For tough stains, you may spray the spot with Folex. Agitate fur gently with fingers or comb. Folex is safe to use without rinsing.

  • You may also use a Bissell Little Green Machine or similar carpet spot cleaner for tough stains. Use a small amount of dish soap and be careful to not soak the fur.

Washing

  • Parts such as tails and handpaws can be washed in a machine on a cold delicate cycle. You may use gentle, unscented laundry detergent.

  • You may use Purex Crystals in the washing machine to make the fur soft and fluffy.

  • If you do not have a washing machine, you may wash your suit in a lukewarm bathtub with gentle, unscented laundry detergent. Turn items inside out where possible.

Drying

  • You may leave pieces that are damp to airdry in a well ventilated room, ideally in front of a fan.

  • Pieces that are soaked will need to be wrung out then left to air dry in front of a fan. Turn the pieces right-side and inside out periodically for even drying.

  • You should use a slicker brush periodically to brush out the fur to prevent clumps.

  • You may opt for a no heat cycle on a dryer, however please test with the piece of scrap fur provided first to ensure it will not ruin your suit.
